As an anthropologist from South Carolina, USA, this guy isn’t wrong about the grids. I haven’t seen this bright insights video but archaeologists do use grids. However, Gobekli Tepe has been at 5% completion since the mid 2000s when they were still at 5%. It’d be different if they had even gotten to 6% by now but they’re still at 5%; when one would expect them to be at least 75% done by now if not completed. The longest digs in history took place during the 20th century when technology and our understanding of the natural sciences involved with archaeological digs was infant. No dig really takes any longer than 20-30 years anymore. And Gobekli Tepe started in the mid 90s. It’s 2024 for those that don’t know. Even though what this man said about the longevity of archaeological digs and the deep layers of antiquity is accurate it doesn’t explain why not more than 5% has been completed/documented for the public to ascertain in 20 years. Having watched a couple other videos by this man, he and his accomplice are not very well educated. They don’t even know the significance of a bull and a snake in Neolithic, Iron Age and Bronze Age European culture, nor did they know the significance of a man grabbing his Johnson or shaking a snake at a bull to Indo-European culture.
